1969 Hemi Dodge Daytona 4 speed Chrysler produced just over 550 Dodge Daytonas for 1969 of which just 70 were fitted with the legendary 426 Hemi engine, of those 48 were automatics and 22 had the heavy duty 4 speed. Currently only 11 Hemi 4 speed Daytonas are known to exist.

1969 Hemi Daytona

This particular car is fully documented and has covered just 38,000 miles since it was bought new from Western Carolina Dodge in Greenville, South Carolina on the 30th of September 1969. Chrysler only built two black Hemi Daytonas and only one of those had a white interior making this example arguably one of the most visually striking of the 4 speed Hemi Daytonas built.

The main photograph shows the original owner, Henry Watkins Jnr, with the car on the day he purchased it. We looked after this particular car as part of a collection here in the UK until the car joined it's new owner Tom Lembeck as part of his Hemi and 'Cuda collection in Chicago in early 2015.
